The use of aluminum braid is recommended for making al| element connections because of its high electric conductivity, flexibility and resistance to oxidation at high temperature. All Kantha braids are manufactured from highly pure aluminum, which is fully annealed for maximum flexibility, and are available in a variety of lengths and end terminations to suit different applications.

The use of copper braid is not recommended as it is likely to oxidize rapidly at high temperature and fail prematurely.
