ArianeCorp Limited, formerly known as Vikay Industrial Ltd., is a company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. Our change in company name reflects the expanding scope of our group's business after the recent acquisition of a telecommunications operation in mainland China. We now comprise two business units: LCD/electronics and telecommunications. The LCD/electronics division will remain unchanged, and our products will continue under the brand name "Vikay", as will the factories and overseas offices.
We retain our core strengths in the design and manufacture of LCDs and electronic modules for LCDs. We have production facilities in Johor, Malaysia, plants in Kulai for LCDs, and plants in Labis for modules. Subsidiaries in the US, the UK, Singapore and Malaysia handle our marketing and distribution services.
Staff at our factories design and manufacture LCDs of various grades and specifications. Our product range includes high-grade LCDs such as super twisted nematic (STN) LCDs and film-compensated STN. These are used in computers, and communications and security equipment. We also produce super compact modules with LCDs used for aeronautical, communications, security, factory and office automation, medical and other electronics industries.
To better meet our customers' needs, we now offer a broader range of products and value-added services through our franchised activities, other than our proprietary LCD and LCM products:
